About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Not to ask, "What if I had...?"
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Kansas, but doing my best to be a good citizen of the world. I grew up on a farm in a town where everyone knew everyone. I guess that awoke my desire to go places where I know nothing and no one and make every day an experience in learning something new. Most recently, I spent a year teaching English in Germany. I think nothing is more informative than learning someone else's story.
PHILOSOPHY
"Ain't nothin' but a G thing, baby."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting people, but I'm without a couch for the time being. I've always been completely impressed with the people I've hosted and their sense of adventure. Hosting on Couchsurfing is a sort of mini-vacation in the midst of real life that reminds me why I never want to stop going, wherever and whenever possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Unfortunately, few experiences to speak of. I've hosted a few strangers and even more friends.
Interests
Languages, literature, traditions, people and how they communicate and make sense of the world they live in.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Avett Brothers will probably always be my favorite. Love folk, "indie", rock, blues, jazz, and just about anything else a shameless hipster loves.
Currently reading Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel and Die Tribute von Panem (The Hunger Games in German. That makes it okay, right?)
Also a huge fan of nonsensical comedies, esp. the oeuvre of Bill Murray.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've spent five consecutive nights on sleeper trains in eastern Europe, and I've also played midwife to a cow with birthing problems.
