Hey!
My name is Lea, I am currently 19 years old.
I used to live with my parents in a rather small city in the middle of Germany, where I graduated last summer.
Since I didn't want to start university right after, I decided to spend some time working and travelling, throughout some parts of Europe, but mainly Germany.
Nowadays, I live in the beautiful city of Groningen, where I study psychology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Growing up, my family and I did a lot of travelling, but we mainly stayed on the tourist-y side of it all. That changed, and I got to know how wonderful it is to get to know more than just the surface of a country, of a city, so that's why I'm here. By staying with other people, you get to know so much more than you do staying in a hotel. I want that, I want to get to know other people, and I'd love to share my home once I move out.

Music, Movies, and Books

Depends on my daily mood, but I mostly listen to rock and alternative stuff, a bit of indie, folk, and I am generally open for most suggestions!

In the Movie department, I am quite clichee: Fight Club has been an all time fav, but so is Dirty Dancing. I love movies about road trips and adventuring, without extraordinary action though. Oh, and Documentaries!!
But honestly, I am currently more of a Netflix girl, watching series all night long ( The Blacklist, Modern Family, ...)

Reading has always been a favorite activity, and I'm into similiar genres as listed above. As of right now, I am in a non-fiction phase, reading a lot of books on psychology and political stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two weeks after my 18th birthday, I did an interrail tour on my own - kinda unspectular at first, but it was a great experience for me. (Don't fret though, I have more interesting stories to share!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Next to my knowledge about sloths, I can give you a hand around the house, am always happy to help you clean (not really an OCD thing, but more a "mother complex" kinda thing).
Oh, and I am always happy to just be able to listen and maybe help you out with problems, something I'm known for with my friends :)
