ABOUT ME

I am a grandmother, retired nurse, now I sell books, CD's, books on tape or CD, and DVD's on amazon.com. I enjoy the hunting trips to find new resale stores and garage sales to get these books. I also promote the citywide garage sales in Mt Pleasant Michigan. I love art and volunteer at the store run by the Art Reach Center of Mid-Michigan. I deliver Meals On Wheels one day a week.
I live with one dog (Wheaten Terrier), and 1 chicken. Fortunately, my family lives next door so when I travel, they can feed the critters.

PHILOSOPHY

My initials are LEC. My grandkids are Lindy, Evan and Cameron. If you add their birthdays together, you get the year of my birth- 39. I am blessed, lucky and busy. I am non-religious but believe things happen that are "meant to be". I try always to see the positive side of life, and to help where and when I can. I enjoy the "Pay It Forward" philosophy, anonomous giving.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

March 2009 in KY, my first stop. One other stop near Cleveland. Both times I was on the way to visit relatives. Lots of fun, I love to tell stories and I love to hear them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have enjoyed Harry Potter, Anne McCaffrey, and Nora Roberts. Music is not a priority, I will listen to the familiar music of the 50's like The Kingston Trio; also Neil Diamond.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started the citywide garage sales in town in 2003 when I retired, with little or no money, and this year there will be an estimated 200+ garage sales in Mt. Pleasant Michigan on June 20-21, 2014.

Teach, Learn, Share

My current passion is selling used books. I have gotten a couple of women (via the internet) started in this for the extra income, and I am always willing to talk about that or to share my knowledge. My greatest tool here is the cell phone with internet access so I can check the resale price of a book on amazon before I buy it at a resale store or garage sale.
