Chi sono
I'm a Blues fan who loves to meet people from other cultures, particularly Europeans. I have been an organizer of an English as a Second Language Meetup group, and I enjoy helping people with English. I love to go to Blues clubs, museums, etc. and take visitors there also.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
I would like to meet Blues fans (particularly Europeans) who can come with me to Blues clubs, museums, and events in Greenwood and other nearby towns, and give me feedback. I would like to help the Blues fan with English and he could help me with French or Italian or German or Spanish.

This area is heaven for a dedicated Blues fan or musician. There is a lot of information on the web regarding Delta Blues. The B.B. King Museum (in Indianola) and the Delta Blues Museum (in Clarksdale) are a short drive from Greenwood. We have many stops along the Mississippi Blues Trail. Along with its rich Blues history, Greenwood also has many sites pertaining to: Civil rights (research Emmitt Till), native Americans (research Greenwood Leflore, and Choctaw Indians), and the Civil War (research Fort Pemberton).
The Amtrak train stops in Greenwood (Amtrak station code GWD). Greenwood is accessible by Amtrak from New Orleans, Louisiana, or Memphis, Tennessee or Chicago, Illinois. Ticket prices will vary but typical prices are:
New Orleans (NOL) approximate one-way ticket price $45
Memphis (MEM) approximate one-way ticket price $25
Chicago (CHI) approximate one-way ticket price $200 with roomette; $100 for a seat with no bed.
