About Me

I've never thought I would be a person who likes to travel, but you know.. once you started you can't stop, it's like tattoos.

This is for humans in general:
Don't host me/ask to stay with me when you're homophobic, believe that war is progress and helpful, discriminate people because of their look.

This is especially for the people with a penis:
I'm so sad that I have to add this, but I had a very bad experience.
Don't host me/ask to stay with me when you have ANY hidden agendas. Meaning when you expect something more than friendship, laughter, fun and food in return. I want to lie on your couch, bed, ground, whatever but not on you? I'm not so desperate that I would sell my body to get a place to sleep for the night. I want to get to know you and the place where you live.
Just because I'm friendly doesn't mean I'm interested in you in THAT way. I like to laugh, when I dance with you it's because I like to have fun not because I'm teasing you, Jesus Christ. I am friendly, I have definitely no problems with hugging, I walk around in short clothes when it's hot and I walk around in a bikini when I go swimming and not to give you any signs. Please stop interpreting dude.
Oh and I can give you a list of people you might wanna call to learn how to behave around women when you have an interest to befriend (because that's possible) and stop being the stereotype of a rape culture where you look on a woman's body as an object.

I like things and people I can learn from, grow with; or just be with on a comfortable level.
I love animals and I don't see the line other people draw between 'animals I have as a pet' and 'animals I can eat'. And I just simply don't like the taste of it. Some people don't like salad, I don't like that, which is absolute all right! I won't come into your home and life and try to criticize the way you live, eat what makes you happy.

I'm used to smoke when I drink beer or when I'm stressed. I would do it occasionally and in a social environment, but I try to reduce that as well. Even though it's fun to get wasted every now and then and spent the next day hungover together with crap and fat food, lots of water and series.
I love music and its not that I stick to a genre, it only needs to be compatible with my mood. And when I dance I'm the happiest person, no matter what music I listen to.
If you know a good techno or psytrance/goa club take me with you!
I also like to sing along with Queen, Abba, Adele and some other songs I know the lyrics from. But I don't sound good :D
I like to laugh and have fun, go out or stay in. I'm also happy just to sit next to you and read a book or watch a movie.

I'm cautious with unknown things. I need my time to observe. This is the way I am, but as soon as I get comfortable with a new situation I can get along quite well.

First Trip:
Start 31.10.2015
End 08.03.2017

What I've done before that:
October 2015 until October 2016
I lived, worked and travelled for a year in Australia and made one round along the coast and I've been to Alice Springs to work 'close by' in a Aboriginal community in a supermarket.
I did the 20km Mount Kosciuzko hike - super exhausting!

I've been to Bali for a month and went to Nusa Penida, Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Lombok. In Bali itself I've been to Ubud for a weekend and the rest of the time I got stucked in Kuta.
You wouldn't expect that from the place when you see it, but wait until you meet my friends and you'll never want to leave that place!

Java - Bogor: Vipassana meditation silent retreat
Jakarta: I've been to a very colorful Muslim wedding, the 3rd biggest mosque on this planet so far and the loveliest little family hosted me there.

I traveled from the south of Thailand (Hat Yai) over Phuket and Bangkok to the north to Chiang Mai and Pai.

And in Vietnam from Ho Chi Minh today Hanoi by bus.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is an easy way to get in touch with locals; awesome, open-minded people. If you would just go to a place to look at it from the outside you'll miss the beauty that lies within. And I know that every part has something good in it. My hometown for example is small and nothing special from the outside, but we have forests you can walk through without hearing the noise of a car, we have a cute little Italian ice cafe and a very cool bar. We also have a shop called Hathi were you can buy alternative stuff and you wouldn't expect that from a town with just a little bit more than 10.000 people, right?
Couchsurfing is helpful for people like me, because I would just go to a place without a clue, run around without any idea of the area I'm in and would leave the place with thousands ideas I would like to do the next time I'll go there. And that's what I'll definitely do, come back to the places where I've made friends.
And it's also great to share a meal, I love food!

Interests

I'm interested in meditation. I participated in a 10 days Vipassana meditation course and in the beginning I cursed myself for getting there but in the end I was quite proud that I made it through and got to know all this wonderful beings who shared this experience with me.

Movies and books and the world's they can drag you into.

The Darmasiswa program for foreign students who would like to study in Indonesia. I would like to study for 6 months traditional dance in Bali.

I'm also interested in things and people I don't know yet. How much more opportunities and possibilities this planet has to offer. One of my friends told me about this movie named 'Room' where a boy was born in it and thought this would be all that exists.
I know that this world has more than one room, more people than the friends I already have and more beautiful places than I've already been to.

Hiking. But I'm slow, because I have asthma. I sound like an extreme athlete after a triathlon and that after 20 stairs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Trance, Techno, Classic, Piano, Queen, 90s Techno, 80s, Christina Aguileira, System of a Down, Korn, Nora Jones, Kanye, Eminem, The XX, Florence and the Machine, Davy Simony, Aretha Franklin, Depeche Mode, Hans Zimmer, literally everthing.

At the moment I read Game of Thrones.
Harry Potter, I read them all like 7 times
, but don't expect me to remember every detail. If you are a Harry Potter nerd and need a person to talk to I have a contact for you!
I also like spiritual books even though they take me much longer to read. (The Power of Now, Ask and it is given)

Guardians of the Galaxy, The Martian, Interstellar, Geisha, Interception, Passenger
Disney movies (90s)
Ghibli Studio films

so yeah, not really one favorite, but a few of the things I like

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started traveling

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to enjoy food. We definitely gonna need cake for that.

I would like to learn how to
- do proper push ups, a handstand, yoga, pilates and other ways of getting a better body-feeling. Uh and how to climb up a wall without the fear of falling down.
- play a piano.
- do some self-defense fight courses.
- build my own house.
- plant and grow vegetables in order to be able to feed myself.

Show me what makes you happy! Take me to your favorite cafe, the spot you like to sit down and have think. Your favorite movie and the shops you like to wander around. Or if you don't have time just some tips what I could do. Show me your doodles if you draw, I would like to see that as I started doing it.

You should know that I love and appreciate the fact that you share your life and home with me. Please let me know as soon as I do something that offends you! It's something brave to let a stranger live with you for a bit and it can be draining if it doesn't work out well. I will respect every rule you have, because I'm a guest and when the time comes and I have my own place to share I'll expect nothing else from the people I will host.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Honesty and lots of laughter.
You need someone to look at your newest haircut and want an opinion that doesn't come from your mom, because she will always say how handsome you are, ask me.
You want to go out and feel uncomfortable dancing alone, because you think you look stupid? I'll dance with you!
I'm always down for food as long as it's vegetarian. So if you want to go out or cook at home, you'll have someone to sit together with you.
