Overview
About Me
I'm an extrovert. I'll discuss, debate, or just talk about anything. I work in a bank, but will be headed back to school for nursing in the fall of 2017. I live with my girlfriend and my very adorable and well behaved husky puppy (yes, I will provide pictures!).
If I could visit every country in the world, I would. I guess I could say that this is my goal. Yet I don't want to become one of those people who visits a country for a week just to say they've been there. I want to see and experience all parts of different cultures in order to become more understanding and open minded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To me, life is about pushing your limits and forcing yourself out of your comfort zone. This means meeting as many new people as I can and creating as many new experiences as possible. I believe couch surfer allows me to do this by opening doors into other's lives that wouldn't be possible in my day to day routine.
Interests
I'm open to trying anything new. Underwater basket weaving? Done. Hotdog eating? Why not. Whale watching? I'll try it.
Things I would like to learn specifically though are:
-Deep sea fishing
-Sailing
-Foreign Languages
-Programming
-Interior Designing
-How to play the guitar (or any instrument)
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music depends on my mood. Some days I just want to blast edm through my headphones while rock climbing, while other days I jam out to Chvrches in the car. My favorite movie is The Art of Flight. A lot of people liked The Fourth Phase (the sequel), but I was a little disappointed. My favorite TV show is Suits and Breaking Bad. I really liked the audio book for Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, as well as reading Enders Game.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most exhilarating thing I've ever done was my first solo skydive. Don't get me wrong, my tandem skydive was a pretty fun experience. Yet, nothing compared to the feeling of having to mentally let go of the safety net the plane provided and fall into the skies below completely alone.
Teach, Learn, Share
The thing I would most like to teach others is cooking. I love to do it and have been actively trying to become better every day. Yet, my learning is not close to being over, which is why I would like to exchange recipes, tips, and region specific ingredients. I would also like to learn more foreign languages. I am working on Spanish and German currently, but wouldn't mind starting a few more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food! I cook every single night for my girlfriend and I. I love to try new, unique foods from all cultures and love to share my own recipes with my hosts. Any and all hosts (if you allow me to) will receive meals cooked by me while you kindly let me stay in your home. I can also exchange stories and experiences.
