ABOUT ME

Who am I? Well, I could throw around adjectives but since none of us ever sees ourselves clearly, they would probably be hogwash. So instead I'll show you who I am through examples.

I worked at a high-profile magazine in New York City for four years, but I quit in order to go see the world. In six months, I traveled to eight countries and three states, before landing in lovely California.

Before I left, I was part of a volunteer theater group for adolescents. In one play, I was God, a reporter and a hobo.

I absolutely love pajamas. I'd wear them outside if it were socially acceptable. Someone invented crocs so anything is possible.

I enjoy cooking in my apartment while playing music or podcasts. I own the entire Calvin and Hobbes collection. I see art in everything. I laugh often.

See that girl partying in the club til 6am, downing shots, and doing her best Coyote Ugly impression? That's not me.

See that girl checking out the Van Gogh exhibit, wandering around a sculpture garden listening to music, or making friends with someone on line at the grocery store? That's probably me.

See that girl getting lost even with a map in her hand? That's definitely me.

I moved to the San Francisco bay area nearly 10 years ago (time flies!). I am happy to meet with new people from around the world.

Someone once said that when you're traveling, everyone you encounter seems like the most fascinating person you've ever met. She was right.

I am a sucker for good entertainment. Some of my favorite movies are Almost Famous, The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, American Beauty, Office Space, Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind and Annie Hall.

If I had to pick only one genre of music to listen to forever, it would be classic rock. Thankfully I'm not in that predicament, so I tune in to whatever suits my mood at the moment.

I love books. Always reading something.

Most recently, fulfilled a lifelong dream of going to Japan during peak fall foliage time. Absolutely loved it.

I am certified to teach English as a foreign language, though my grammar lessons won't exactly change your life. I'm a vegetarian and would love to cook meals together and learn some new skills.
