I am a recent psychology graduate from the University of Ottawa. I am interested in the research side of the field. I also love travelling and have been combining my love for both for a couple of years now! My first solo travel experience was in the summer of 2014, when I got a scholarship to work in a cognitive neuro lab in Lyon, France. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. After I graduated, I travelled to Ulm, Germany to work in a psychology lab at a university there for the summer. It was both challenging and rewarding! I was accepted to the JET Programme (yay!). I moved to Hokkaido, Japan to be an Assistant Language Teacher for two years. Hokkaido is THE BEST, and I had a view of Asahidake from my apartment. Go check it out! Now, I am back in the student city of Ulm, working on my master's degree. I guess I liked käsespätzle too much to pass up the opportunity....

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I want to meet local people! While I enjoy staying at hostels because I get to meet people from all over the world, I want to try couchsurfing so that I can meet local people too. My favourite part of traveling is always the conversations I have with new friends, usually over some good wine/beer/food!
Music, Movies, and Books
Some favourite artists- Cream, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Bahamas, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sam Smith, City and Colour, the Arkells.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I speak French if anyone wants to practice :) Learn: German! Share: Different travel stories and perspectives.
My Interests
I have been teaching myself how to play guitar. I used to play the electric guitar as a child, but I recently purchased a classical guitar and have begun playing fingerstyle! Food. And das bier. I'm vegetarian but otherwise I am not picky and love trying new dishes and brews.
