ABOUT ME

I'm a positive, open minded music student and have lived in England all my life. I love meeting people and having fun, but dont mind spending time alone.
The last few summers I've spent traveling around the UK working at music at music festivals, having fun with new people every weekend and watching some amazing music.
I love being at University for the both social and educational aspects - I've met my best friends in the last 2 years and learnt some invaluable skills. But I'm itching to get away from the UK and see the world properly, as the traveling I've done so far has only really scratched the surface.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couch surfed once with a friend, but I was blown away by the experience. Our host was very hospitable and we did some cooking and cleaning around her flat. I like the idea that this movement transcends capitalism, and human kindness is the currency.

I try and listen to wide range of music..... Jazz: Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck and Charles Mingus...Folky stuff like Sufjan Stevens, The Fleet Foxes and Joni Mitchell....Hip Hop Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest and Flying Lotus....Electronic stuff like Bonobo, Scuba, James Blake and Four Tet...the list goes on.

I love spending time reading in the summer months. My fave authors are Iain Banks + Ian McEwan. Love some classic stuff like 1984, Gatsby etc and also newer books too - Cloud Atlas is something I read recently and really enjoyed.

Don't really spend that much time watching films, but I love anything by Wes Anderson, and also love the films Babel and 21 Grams. Napolean Dynamite is a film that I will never get bored of (you'll probably get the connection if you meet me)

I can play a few musical instruments, Clarinet, Piano and Guitar and would be very happy to pass on what I know to others. I would like to learn how to cook local dishes. It would be amazing if someone could teach me to meditate....
