I’m currently in medical school, but I’m also a swing dance teacher. Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, and Balboa are all among dances I love. Aside from that, I love hiking and being outside. I recently took up running, which I finally don’t hate anymore. If you have good book recommendations, I’d love to hear them - reading has been one of my favorite things since I was little. Sometimes I also knit or crochet when I can find the peace of mind to sit for a while.

I majored in neuroscience in undergrad, but also took a number of classes in American Sign Language and anthropology. (To be honest though, a lot of my time went to swing dancing. That was a good decision.)

I love hearing people talk about whatever they're passionate about, whether I know anything about it or not. I'm happy to share things about myself as well, but I don't much like small talk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, but I don't really like the idea of being a tourist as much. Some tourist-y things are fun, but in general I'd like to get to know cities and people a bit more. I think it's easiest to do that by getting to know people who live wherever I'm traveling, hence couchsurfing!

I want to be able to host people soon at my apartment in Providence, Rhode Island, but I'm still figuring out living arrangements and things with my roommate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well one time I hiked in and out of the Grand Canyon in a day. Without training for it at all. It was about 17 miles. Absolutely gorgeous and amazing... But then quite painful the next day. Would definitely recommend, but I'd suggest training for it at least a little bit. Walking all downhill and then all uphill is not the easiest of things.
