About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Maybe life doesn't ask us for so much, so much hard work, sacrifice or growth, maybe it just wants us to be happy

ABOUT ME

I CANNOT HOST SURFERS FOR MORE THAN ONE NIGHT, SO PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND BEFORE MAKING A REQUEST 🙏
I'm a daydreamer and a dreamer too, seek for new experiences, often shy when meeting a group of people, I feel more comfortable meeting one person at a time, I have strong convictions and live according to them, not really trying to fit into standards, but I love pleasing people, I'm proud of myself, my family, friends, my roots. I love Christmas, Saint Valentines, carnival, birthdays, I like to give and the best gift I get is to see I made someone happy, I try to be busy most of the time, to work, exercise, learn something, volunteer, hang out with friends or family, keep in touch with my acquaintances, sometimes I think you die while you rest, while you sleep or just while you're lying on the bed doing nothing...for me stay active is the only way to be alive. I see the world so big and see myself so eager of it, I think we are the ones that can make it better and I'm trying right here. I don't mind being alone, I enjoy my own company but I enjoy more talking and listening, long meaningful conversations that sink in and make me question my ideas, as sometimes I feel time passes by so quickly and I forget a lot of the past I'm always loooking for moments that stay, that I remember forever

PHILOSOPHY

Openness to experience; to be willing to learn because there's just so much of the world and we know so little
Live the life we love, love the life we live
Treat all living beings with respect and dignity
A lot of small people, in small places, doing small things, can change the world
You teach people how to treat you, always stand for what you truly believe in and I can be sure you won't be standing alone

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It’s been a while since my last trip, just looking for advise, interesting people to meet and perhaps a couch on my next trip

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a really nice couple in New Delhi, and hang out with some guys from Varanasi, Jaipur and Udaipur. My experience with Couchsurfing has been great!!

Interests

I'm in for projects that involve social development, education for kids or cultural interchange, I've participated in some.
I strongly believe we are to protect everything that surrounds us, so I try to live green :) I'm not strictly vegetarian but I took meat out of my diet except for fish once in a while and eat backyard eggs instead of factory farmed eggs
Love almost all animals (have arachnophobia from birth), I would enjoy to swim with dolphins and seals in their natural environment, play with monkeys, touch an elephant, hug lion cubs <3...
Adrenaline junkie; already done skydiving, surfing (I sucked at it), paintball, zipping and rappelling, I'd love to try wingsuit flying and bungee jumping to name a few
Hang out to cafés, restaurants and bars with a creative style, nice decoration or different somehow

Music, Movies, and Books

I like animated films, comedies, horror movies, dramas, thrillers, musicals and some documentaries to open one's eyes to reality out there. Some of the movies I've enjoy that I can recall right now are: Identity (starring John Cusack), Lilo&Stitch :)and all Disney/Pixar/Dreamwork films, Inglourious Basterds, the skeleton key, Les Misérables, Intouchables, Cloud Atlas, Braveheart
Music: I could listen to all kinds, well heavy metal and opera are out of the question, but on my playlist there's music in Spanish, English and French; ballad, pop, salsa, electro, reggae, rock and oldies
I love to read, I haven't done it lately though. I usually read novels but I also like tales. Some of my favorite books -Harry Potter saga -One hundred years of solitude -The last cato -Heart: a School-Boy's Journal -The little prince -Horacio Quiroga's tales -The Blessing Stone and the Millennium trilogy form Stieg Larsson :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

*Skydiving :D last year I finally accomplished one of my to do before I die list items, it was mindblowing specially because the feeling of falling into the void has always been quite scary for me
*went backpacking to France and Italy in 2012, I joined a cultural project in Blois, France where I got to meet youngsters from different countries (Germany, Morocco, Algeria, Turkey, China, Serbia and France of course!) we would share the chores in the house, I can't possibly describe to you how delightful it was to try dishes from all these places and to hear them speak in their native language. Then, when the project was over I traveled a little bit on my own and had some interesting experiences
*I've done some traveling in my country, seen beatiful waterfalls, forests, archaeological sites, beaches, festivals like the International hot air balloon in León, the Prehispanic night show in Xcaret or Dead's day tradition in Naolinco that consists on making lifesize skeleton dummies and dressing them as "catrinas", ordinary people (dentist, drunken, etc) and placing them all around the town, it's a colorful party over there

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I consider myself as a Jack of all trades, master of none. I've learned to make some handicrafts like scrapbooks, candles, dreamcatchers and origami (only a few figures). I know a couple of dishes from Mexico (or maybe just from my mom's repertoire)and of course I could teach some Spanish, English or French.
I'm interested in learning photography, as I love taking pictures, also playing a musical instrument would be nice, cooking something from your country yay! but actually whatever you'd have the kindness to teach me I would learn gladly :)

Countries I’ve Visited

France, India, Italy, Spain
