About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To do things we've always wanted to but never have, and to see and experience as much of the world as possible within the next few years.
ABOUT ME
We are a married couple living in Maryland. Miguel is a Registered Nurse and Lindsay is working as a Program Manager for an International NGO! Our plan is to do as much traveling and experiencing as possible while were young and able.
PHILOSOPHY
It constantly changes, but such is life.
The most important thing I've learned (Lindsay) is that we are truly responsible only for our OWN happiness or despair. There are always changes that can be made in one's own life but too many people spend too much time waiting for those changes to occur on their own, or for someone else to initiate them for us. Being proactive is essential--if you're unhappy, DO something about it. No one can change your life except you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We would be willing to provide a couch for travelers as long as we have plenty of notice! The project is a great way for anyone, young or old, who doesn't have the means or desire to adhere to the tendencies of tourist-y traveling: hotel stays and isolation from the true culture of the location. Couchsurfing is a great way to experience new cultures and to meet people, and it really demonstrates the generosity of good people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Miguel has never CouchSurfed (we're working on that) Lindsay's Experience: Fantastic, unique, unmatchable experience. I had great time in Madrid, Porto, Cadiz, Granada, and Valencia, thanks to CS. CSers show you things you could never see from a guided tour, an expensive hotel, or even a hostel. I have friends and acquaintances from all over the world now, some of the most generous people I've ever met, who took the time to share their lives with me and show me their cities the way they're meant to be seen. Thanks to all of you!
Interests
Lindsay loves foreign language and culture, traveling (of course), coffee, and chocolate, Miguel is enamored with music and soccer; both of us love meeting people, food, singing, taking advantage of the opportunities we have and making opportunities that where we don't...and there may be no other way to put this, but, we like to party.

Music, Movies, and Books
Miguel and Lindsay have somewhat "differing" tastes in movies and SOME music.... but between the 2 of us I think we have them all covered.
We LOVE Latin music. And we love to (try to) dance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far the most amazing thing I (Lindsay) have seen is Spain, because the experience changed my perspective of life.
Lindsay worked in Yes Hostel in Lisbon, and it is one of the most interesting things she has ever done. The experience was indescribable...there were always ups and downs and surprises every day, and her life has shifted--schedule, friends, work ethic, perspective of life and love, etc.-- thanks to Lisbon and this job opportunity.
Teach, Learn, Share
Its a great place to make plans with fellow travelers, but hostels are amazing too! You meet tons of incredible and fun people, many of which are interested in seeing/doing the same things you are.
