Overview
About Me
I am a carefree mother of two boys who is determined to chase her dreams and live this one life to the fullest. I am an embryologist which is a fascinating and solid career, however I still daydream about what I want to do when i grow up ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love adventures of travel, connection, learning, experience, making new friends. I love the platform of couchsurfing because it encourages altruistic hosting and real human connections. Good karma. Pay it forward.
Interests
I have recently started taking salsa, Bachata and Kizomba lessons and going out dancing often, it's been so good for my soul :)
Woodworking, lets see, I just love the smell of wood and find it very meditative. I want to build 3 types of houses: my own tiny house, a treehouse (resort actually) and also create custom bird houses. I do random projects here & there and I'm a somewhat experienced homeowner who fixes/builds things.
I believe in eating delicious food and love to go the extra mile to create something gourmet. My popsicles are killer!
I love learning and having new experiences. Traveling is an obvious shortcut to meet that goal, but while home bound I do love me some podcasts or Ted talks to expand my mind.
Nature photography has been a recent musing of mine. I feel particularly drawn to flora & fauna in fine detail but I do appreciate beautiful scenery as well. I have a DSLR camera that I don't know how to use just yet. The pics in my profile were taken with my phone, decent quality considering.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing mt St Helens in Oregon and crossing above the cloud line was really breathtaking! It felt sci-fi and magical to see the fluffy white clouds from the top as they glistened in the bright sun. There were at least two nearby peaks that were also above the clouds and it was such a magnificent scene.
On the other end of the altitude scale, scuba diving in Panama was a wonderful experience. It can be scary to be under the water so far but to see such a variety of sea creatures in their natural environment was incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my top secret gourmet popsicle recipes and you will likely keep them on stock henceforth.
It is a lifelong goal to be fluent in Spanish so I am always appreciative of conversation practice.
