Overview
About Me
I'm 50 years old and attempting to accomplish a life dream of documenting a wedding in every state. The goal is to tell the stories behind the traditions, styles, and cultures. As many different religions, traditions, ethnic backgrounds, lifestyles and economic levels as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm doing this on a shoestring budget mainly because I got sick with a life threatening disease three years ago and now that I'm in partial remission I want to live life as fully as I can as long as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really have a favorite music...I like almost everything but especially zydeco and jazz.
Favorite movies: Walter Mitty, Under the Tuscan Sun, The Way, A Wrinkle in Time, and Wonder.
Books: How to Win Friends and Influence People, Eat, Pray, Love, all of Nicholas Sparks books and so many more!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I held my mother's hand and counted the seconds between each of her last breaths.
I've biked in the Swiss mountains.
I've held a stranger in my arms as she cried her eyes out and received a message the next day that she had intended on committing suicide that night.
Yeah...I couldn't choose one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm one of those strange people who find almost everything and everyone interesting. I was a wedding photographer for over 20 years and the most important thing I've learned...
People are very lonely and crave just a few minutes of undivided attention.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Beyond a great conversation...I can offer a signed copy of the coffee table book that will be published at the end of the project.
I can mention them in the credits of one of the 14 videos we will be producing along the way.
And if they own a business I'm happy to write an article for their business on the AWPmagazine blog.
