I am a British woman living an hour out of New York City. I moved to New York after meeting my husband when we were both traveling in Alaska. He is a native New Yorker. We recently divorced after 15 years of marriage, and have one young son together. Before meeting my husband I enjoyed extensive travel, spending a year traveling around the world by myself.
I consider myself fun and easy going, open and have a sense of adventure. I enjoy meeting new people and can't wait to meet many new friends.

I had some of my best travel experiences in my early 20's when backpacking around the world when people would take me into their homes. I discovered so much more about the countries I stayed with someone by sharing a meal and conversation. I would love to experience the depth of friendship with people from around the world.

Music: Christian and country music are my favorite.
Movies: I dont watch much T.V or movies but have been known to watch survivor and amazing race.
Books: generally whatever is voted on from my book club, and of course my Bible. A recent book I loved though was The Power of Half. It was about a family who decided to sell half their wealth and see how they could use their money and time to make a difference.

Traveled solo around the world (and taken a 4yr old to Bali)
Worked on a fishing trawler in the Torres Straights for 6 weeks.
Stayed in a village in Lesotho Africa
Eaten a cane rat in China
Survived divorce.
