About Me

I’m a sociable introvert, which to me means recharging my batteries by spending time alone but also not being shy, and loving meaningful encounters with people.
I would always choose a deep one on one conversations over small talk at a party.

I like finding common ground with people no matter how opposite of each other we seem to be.
Also, I like contradictions, or rather, moving in between poles:
Caring about disadvantaged groups, at the same time laughing about Ricky Gervais’ jokes.
Eating mainly plant-based wholefoods but then indulging in brownies or cheese fondue.
Being an over-thinker, still praising Eckhart Tolle’s teachings.

Where I find it hard to find a balance is between caring about our world’s big issues that can make me feel powerless and depressed and just not caring too much which can make me feel ignorant.
If you have found a way of balancing that, feel free to share it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting locals allows me to create an emotional connection to a place and makes me learn about it in a much deeper way. Plus, I’m all about human connection and can potentially make a new friend. Staying in a hostel where people might not even interact but stare into their phone will just never be the same.
