Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To seek out like minded individuals and learn and have fun!
ABOUT ME
I grew up on a small organic farm in northern Alberta. I enjoy the simple things in life like watching a garden sprout from the ground and picking the fruits of my labour. I love nature and all it has to offer. Food is a passion and I love talking nutrition.
PHILOSOPHY
Surround yourself with the things you love and the cure to everything is LAUGHTER.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new at CS and if you are in northern Alberta (Grimshaw area) there is usually room on my family farm. We usually have WOOFER's and apprentices coming and going so it is usually lively.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a great experience meeting people in Italy and the States. I can't wait to have some people come and visit the farm!
Interests
Culture - My dream is to participate somehow in a tribe that has not been touched by colonialism. I have volunteered and worked a lot with elderly people and feed off of their memories and the culture within.
Music - I love live music, singing (although I may not be the best at it) and playing guitar (beginner style!).
Nature - The sights, sounds and peace it provides.
FOOD!! I love talking nutrition and I love sharing a meal with people!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love folk festivals and live local music! Also any type of Funk, Blues, and Jazz. On top of that I like the classics all the way from the Beatles, Queen, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, to the country hits by Patsy Cline. Basically I enjoy all types of music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
LAUGHTER!!
Teach, Learn, Share
Now when you are milking a cow there are a few things you need to watch out for. First sassy cows that like to kick the bucket over. Second the tail - it's a built in fly swatter, so avoid milking in hot weather when the flies are buzzing. Third the hard milker - If the cow refuses to let her milk down pretend imitate the calf and attempt to bunt the bag (it works every once in a while), if that fails just let the calf out to suck one side of the bag while you milk the other :) HAPPY MILKING!
