About Me
Hi,
I'm Lissette :) I'm 28 years old, I currently live in the Dominican Republic and I love the experience of traveling and getting to know different cultures and meeting new people.
I come from a very friendly and inviting culture, we enjoy spending time with family and friends but are also very approachable to visitors and new acquaintances that come to our country throughout the year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would enjoy Couchsurfing because it would provide me a better view of the destination I would be interested in visiting. Contrary to what a hotel could offer, having the opportunity to spend time with locals allows us to really get to know how people live in that certant part of the world, their customs, beliefs, opinions and views. I personally would also appreciate having a proper insight into people's way of living and how they interact with others around them.
It is well known that the most amazing thing that could happen to a traveler is to experience with locals. And that is because both can grow from that special uniqueness the other one has to offer.
I have heard so many great stories from my friends about their CS experience that I'm super excited to actually live that myself.
I've been to some places in the US, Europe, and Latin America but there are so many places I have left to discover that I'm currently into traveling to as many places as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book is 'The Deuxieme Sex' from Simone de Beauvoir.
I like all type of music mostly and will make it my anthem if it touches my soul.
One of my favorite movies is Les Miserables (yes, I love musicals and the theater) and also two Argentinian movies called 'El Lado Oscuro del Corazón' and 'Martin Hache'.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Merengue, Bachata and Salsa moves and some day to day spanish words and phrases from the Dominican Republic.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could bring some typical candy from my country so they can try. I could also share photos, experiences and tips from previous trips I've had (if asked).
