Overview
About Me
I love meeting people. Anything that involves a face-to-face meetup, whether that's going for a walk, grabbing a beer, some wine, or cooking something tasty, I'm down! People say I'm a really good cook, I love cooking for others and enjoy an interesting and eye-opening conversation.
My biggest focus is on enjoying, and being in community. I want to make the most of this life, and I want to do that with others. I love the quote "A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet".
For me, traveling is all about meeting people and discovering new cultures. It's about gaining new perspectives, and trying to share some of my own. Couchsurfing has been a life-changing community for me.
We live in a world plagued with injustice, and I try to do my part in changing it through activism and politics, I believe it's crucial to take a stand and actively support and fight for a more human and empathic society. I'd love to chat politics, acitivism, human rights, or whatever you feel strongly about. I strongly encourage debate, but I do not tolerate any kind of hate or discrimination against me, or anyone else.
[If you'd like to stay at my place, please read the 'house details' section. I will decline the request automatically otherwise]
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm in this community for the same reason I travel. I'm not here for free accommodation, just as I don't travel to see nice landmarks. I'm here because I believe in people and connections. I want to meet as many and as diverse people as I can and hopefully soon become great friends. The world can become too dark and isolated sometimes and I want to make a dent in the opposite direction.
Interests
I'm a big fan of music. I'm also a big nerd. I'm passionate about sciences, politics, history, space exploration, flying, technology, travel, and much more. But I also love learning about what others are passionate about.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While backpacking in 2018 I wrote down I wanted to find a job that allowed me to travel full time. I've dreamed about it for years. In 2022, I've achieved that and have become a digital nomad. When I was packing up my apartment, I found the notebook where I first wrote that down and cried oceans realizing how far I'd come and how hard I'd worked to live my dream.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Apart from the usual (cleaning, organizing, etc) I love to cook for my hosts (or with them). I can also offer some great conversations and plans: I'll love to do cool things together.
And most importantly, personal space. Although you'll be hosting me, we all need some space sometimes, so I'll be happy to respect that and stay out of your way when you do need it.
