Hi, My name is Loek, and i am living in a little village close to the Belgium border. I live here with my wife, and kids. I studied photograpy in The Hague, but left the big city, to have a go at the rural life. Started to be a busdriver to earn a living. I love to work on old Mercedes Benz cars, so i do own a few.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love to meet people, from different countries , and hopefully host sometime. At the moment , together with my daughter, i am restoring an old Ambulance from 1965, and hope to go and travel to Iran with it. It might collaps at the border down the street, but, hey,..we tried. Plan is : France, Spain, Algeria, Tunisia, Italy, Albania, Greece, Turkey and at last Iran. Anybody in this countries who want to host us, and has some place were we can park our car to sleep in,.. would be great!

Music: Frank zappa, Genesis, and all between. Books: Not so much a reader, but i liked, Zen and the art of motorcycling maintenance. Movies: as long as i don't need to think..

My Interests
I like to drive my old Mercedes, live my life, enjoy, and take pictures with my old Leica. My dream is driving through the Algerian Sahara, and hopefully make it to Iran.
