About Me

**Je suis Québécoise et ma langue maternelle et quotidienne est le français. Mon profil de CouchSurfing est en anglais pour des raisons évidentes mais n'hésitez pas à me contacter en français ou en espagnol!

CURRENT MISSION

Live an intense, usefull, interesting, opened, creative and funny life! I wish I'll be satisfied of the way I lived when I'll be almost dying at 94 years old!! ;)

ABOUT ME

Who am I... I am a sensitive and curious person, I think I'm funny and when i'm into something i'm really really into it. I like having projects. I'm not shy, and i'm buena onda. I love music, dance, original discoveries!

PHILOSOPHY

I feel I keep discovering myself all the time, and so I try to keep a clear and critical mind even on my own actions and thoughts. What remains sure, year after years, is that I don't want to be part of any religious institution, (even if I respect spirituality of the human beings), I am a feminist and my political opinions are from left, and against colonialism and asistencialism... To myself and other people, I try to be honest, respectful and coherent. The magic word of all this: integrity! And open mind!
Not such in a serious mood: my philosophy is also trying to enjoy life, laugh and meet people, I am still young but I already feel like life is too short for me, I love living and would like to live forever! :) Cheesy but true. I evaluate the perfect time of a human life for me would be... 220 years. Yep. 94 years will never be enough. AH!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is a proof that many kind of alternatives are possible in that world and in the way that people interact together. I enjoy CS by having couchsurfers in my home since august 2010, and by travelling and meeting interesting people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosting and surfing since 2010. Right now I live in Montreal and my possibily to host is limited, especially for more than 1 person, because my roomates and I share a pretty small space.

Interests

I'm always interested in understanding the world more and more: the people, the problems, alternatives, projects, conflicts, politics, obscure forces and powers, fights of the people for the respect of their rights! I would like, and try to make a small difference, and be myself "a part of the change I would like to see in the world".
I really like to laugh and make people laugh! I dance flamenco, go all around my beautiful city in bicycle, swim, eat too much chocolate, sing or make music with friends, complain in winter and feel happy in a exagerated way in summer... and many other things! I love coffee, hot in winter, iced coffee in the summer but always with an intense pleasure to drink it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Thousands, millions of them.. Let's see what I can think about now: Ojos de Brujo, Calle 13, Chinese Man, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Imogen Heap, a lot of Quebecker musicians... Il enjoy very much the sound of banjo, and arabic and indian music.
You know sometimes people judge me for the big "classics" movies I have not seen.. like Star Trek that I've never seen. but I loved Persepolis! I am totally addicted to documentary movies, Wiebo's War was my favorite until now.
I must admit I recently have had a big adiction to swedish writers like Henning Mankell, but I am reading something diferent, always, day after day. Saramago is excellent too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A lightning entered in my room while I was in bed last summer. My window was open, it was my fault. I felt the electricity in my fingers until the next evening. I've always loved the storms in general. But I've never been scared like that in my life. :S Now I close my window...
