About Me

Currently living in Rio de Janeiro with my sister and 3 friends. Our house is big but we are always hosting friends. Send me a message and if we have a free couch, you ll be welcome to stay!

EDITED: Just moved to Chile! Im staying at a hostel so I can't host but Id be happy to show you around!

2 Edit: Just moved To Lima, Peru and living at a Hostel. Always happy To show you Around! :)

I wasn't sure what my profile should say,so I asked a couple of friends to help me write things about me and this is what we ve came up with:

Im an Argentinian girl who is currently living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I came to visit my sister and my newborn nephew and decided to stay a bit longer than planned. Im studying (or was) actuarial science but Im almost certain that next year (or whenever I go back) Ill start something related to graphic design. In Buenos Aires I had a fashion brand so that led me to having a lot of free time which I spent either travelling or going out. I love outdoor parties and going dancing. Im a big fan of Fernet, as most argentinians are and only last year tried Mate and wine and became a fan as well.

Im a smoker but still trying to quit.

Im a vegetarian since I was born, not by choice but because of my family and Im used to it but I don't mind if you eat meat unless its fish and its eyes stare at me.

Im an outgoing person who enjoys talking to everyone everywhere.

I wake up in a really good mood, unless Im hangover, so If you are not a morning person, you should tell me about it or you´ll hate me, I literally can't stop talking.

I love camping but I hate the sand inside the tent.

Im REALLy clumsy. I fall or stumble almost everyday.

I love coconut but I hate its water. I can't stand it.

I hate cooking, Im really bad at it. Here´s my theory; Im hungry, I don't want to wait, I want to eat. So its either pasta, salad or delivery. The only thing Im an expert at is making pancakes, I can even do tricks with the pan! And I enjoy making them for everyone.

Soooo, If you want to go out at night or to the beach, Im happy to show you around. I can't host anyone at the moment because Im staying with my sister, but soon enough I ll have my own place :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Luckily I had the chance to travel to many places and met many couch surfers along the way, some of them who then stayed at my place in Buenos Aires. I don't have many references because Ive always traveled with a friend and we used her account.
Ive learned, while traveling, that its much better to stay with locals. Not only because they re really helpful but because you get to know the place from a genuine point of view. And besides, you get to make new friends and learn about their culture in a better way, and I think thats one of the true purposes of traveling, being able to learn and enjoy.

I can't say I had bad experiences but I had some much better that others and Im still in touch with most of the people Ive met. I think is the best way of travelling and since Ive started using CS, Ive recommended it to everyone.

Interests

Things I like

- Palm trees, I don’t know why but they just make me happy
- Going out, drinking and dancing.
- Walking, but not so much when its up hill. At least until I finally quit smoking.
- Watermelon in every form. Specially Watermelon Juice.
- Being curious. I want to know everything!
- Flags. Their meaning and history.
- Maths, logic games, riddles and sudokus! I could spend all day long reading about it.
- Music. I like almost everything and love playing the piano, but im not that good at it.
- French fries! The perfect “end of the night” meal. Always.
- Board Games, Im really competitive and luckily very good at them.
- Being tall. Im 1,81 mt.
- Every animal, but Elephants hold a special place in my heart. Why? Not sure but I think deep down I admire them.
- Colour Green, same as with Palm Trees, it makes me happy to look at.
- Favourite meal: gnocchi with blue cheese
- Favourite sport: Tenis
- Im very proud of my eyes. I know it sounds arrogant, and my friends already joke about that, but what can I say? They are beautiful :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

BEST experiences while traveling

Tubbing in Laos
Bathing with elephants in Nepal
Hot Air ballooning in Turkey
Camel Racing in India
Full Moon Party in Thailand
Cliff jumping in Argentina
Wondering around Machu Pichu while it was raining and everyone was gone.

Best Places Ive been to: I would say this depends on many things such as weather, people you re with and adventures you ve had but objectively, New Delhi, Varkala (both in India) and Budapest (Hungary) are my top 3 cities in the world. There are many more incredible places Ive visited but those places had something that kept pulling me back.

Teach, Learn, Share

Im not sure what can I share, I guess many things, among them, how to make pancakes! :P

Honestly, sharing our cultures would be good enough. Im interested in almost everything so whatever you can teach me, Id be really grateful!
