Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have more fun, meet more amazing people and to learn more about myself in the second half of my life.
ABOUT ME
I am 59 years old (but young at heart).
I am married to Chris 36 (!!) years.
We have three amazing kids.Ben was travelling and couch surfing the world when he convinced me to join, hence my involvement.Sam is a qualified motor mechanic and works for Volvo as a service manager and Rachel studiedNutrition and has her own catering business.
I love looking after people, cooking, gardening and a good glass (or two) of wine.
PHILOSOPHY
I have a simple philosophy really.
What you give away freely comes back ten fold, and a belief in Karma.
"what goes around comes around"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been hosting for 6 years now. Mainly because my son had such good things to say about CS as a way to, not only get a bed for the night, but to meet a local person and feel a little more connected to the place you are visiting.
I would like to do this if I could
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never surfed, but after 6 years I can honestly say that I have loved every single CS who has ever stayed with us. I try to follow them on FB as they continue their journeys, and so in a way they become an extended family.

Music, Movies, and Books
Well I'm not much of a movie buff, but I enjoy reading, so u you will find a book beside my bed most off the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have sailed with my very new husband in 1982 in a rust bucket ship, tramping around asia and the Persian Gulf. We ended up in Bundar Abbas at anchor for 3 months in the height of summer, no A/C no food and when we finally ran out of water the ship was allowed to cross to Dubai to refill, Chris and I basically jumped ship.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what I could teach anyone ( apart from my nursing stuff), maybe a bit of cooking or how to feed a horse.
I'm going to have to think about this
I want to learn to speak Italian
