Hey there! It's Michael! I'm living between Greek Islands for almost all my life!
I've just took my masters and now I became a teacher of General education and Ancient Greek for Elementary schools.
I have passion with history, to getting know ''strong cultures'', traditionally, open-hearted people, tasty foods and I'm always travelling with these criteria.

I really like to learn and share knowledge, and experiences, communicate with people and being into a diversity environment, since thats the point of happiness!
My lovely island is Crete ( Minotaur's place), and I can teach you everything about this place that I love so much.

As an evolutional human being, I believe that you can gain and learn a lot from each individual personality, just open your heart and the most important your ears !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The first motivation fact:

When I was a Student in Rhodes Island (2012) I saw randomly in the street, a couple travellers that they were looking somewhere to stay. I asked them what was they're problem, and they told me that they are ''Couchsurfers'' and the guy that was hosting them couldn't host them anymore.
So I decided hosting them, as I was wondering wtf is this ''Couchsurfing''? And thats how I became one Csurfer!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sorry but I'll start from some -
Negatives:

I'm a kind of the old members of CS community cause since then was an "original" and innovative network for hospitality and that was the ONLY PURPOSE !
As a feminist with great respect to womens' equality, I really hate all of these guys that use the facemask of CS with ''other kind of purposes''. It's CS is not TINDER! It was a main reason that I left it for some years. Also I was abroad and I couldn't host anymore in Rhodes, and I became more active in another similar to this site...

Positive:

By the way, I've host and i've been hosted in general, I met great people, made strong friendships and moments that I will never forget! CS made me to open my horizons, and offer hospitality, and love to the people not as a service but as an act of solidarity!

I'm always a supporter of people that offer their couch first and not use CS as a ''free hosting service''. Definitely. I'll help the travellers that are in need, cause one day i'll be in the same need!. Hospitality is still alive in this ''capitalized'' world! Please keep it this way!

Interests

When i'm not teaching and i'm able to leave back my ''serious face'' I'm becoming finaly my real self! That means that I love nightlife, Music festivals, good cocktails and the most important, Food!. On the past I was a professional handball player and I had a healthy lifestyle till my second year in University that I became a Bartender and ''wannabe'' music producer of electronic music.
Also I have a passion with different kinds of experimental music, and especially with tribal music.
Additional I'm a traditional Cretan dancer and ''teacher'' of the Cretan drinking way.
