About Me

I have an unbounded, always on imagination, it's THE thing that best describes myself.
Ideas flow in my mind.
For each problem I consider (world's problems first, mine last), I can't stop myself to think and try to find solutions.

I love truth, science, tech, psychology, sustainability, reliability, and understanding how things work, at all scales.
Discussions about society are also very likely to gain my interest.

I'm open-minded and politely curious.

I want to leave the world better that it was before.
I believe sharing, difference tolerance and education are the keys for a peaceful society where everyone would love to live in.
I am very open-minded, and easy-going. I can discuss really different topics, and I like to talk about how seemingly unrelated topics connect together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to discover a new place is through the people who live there.

I'm here to:
- Meet new people and get to know new point of views
- Have fun
- Discover the world through my eyes, instead of just through a Cardboard or another VR headset haha

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I welcome hosts now that I have a spacious flat.
I use CouchSurfing when possible and appropriate when travelling.
I sometimes go to CS meetings.
I organized the CS meeting in Tours once.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is "Work Rules!" by Laszlo Bock, the SVP of People Operations at Google. It's the only book I read on my own will. I have yet to finish it though.

My favorite movie is "In time", with Justin Timberlake. I really love how the movie shows capitalism issues, and more generally, wealth accumulation issues.

I also like the Back to the future trilogy a lot!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's not just one thing:

Opened a champagne bottle with lego technic, in collaboration with another Couchsurfer that I was hosting.

Go over 80kph by (recumbent) bike with just gravity and muscle power in a city.

Merged 2 electric kartings to build a motor Skateboard when I was 14 (6 years later, it became popular thanks to gyropods called "hoverboards").

Built a Mac with PC parts (Hackintosh) when I was 17.

Ride 65km by bike in the morning without breakfast (won't forget to eat again).

Built Android apps.

Built open source Android libraries. they are pinned here: https://github.com/LouisCAD

To be added: Make the world better and make unfortunate people fortunate and happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my ideas.
I can teach/share creativity thinking tips and principles.
I can teach many things in Science and Computer Science.
I can share my tips and tricks for your phone, your computer, and in other fields completely unrelated to computers.
I can teach how to choose a product among a wide choice, be it high-tech or not.
I can teach French, and how to write it properly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- My knowledge, my ideas, and my time
- My enthusiasm for new things, or new ways to approach things we know
- Maybe more, but it really depends on the host preferences, and the possibilities
