About Me
I'm a French lad living in the beautiful city of Graz, Austria. I travelled to Graz for the first time to do my Erasmus there and one year later, as I was supposed to leave and get back to Strasburg in France, I decided to stay in Austria to do my masters in Interpreting and Translating (German - French). I love living in a foreign country, because I can experience the foreign culture every day. I often consider that visiting a country during 2-3 weeks isn't enough. Now it's my 3rd year in Graz, and I keep discovering new stuff! What's more, as a language student, there's no better way to improve one's language skills than living in the foreign country!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I recently registered on Couchsurfing because I was very interested in this new kind of accommodation. When I'm on travel, talking to Natives is the thing I like the most. This is a bit harder when you're staying at the hotel. In addition to this, I think it's awesome to have friends all over the world. So, why not meeting them with couchsurfing?
Even though I can't host travellers myself (I have flatmates), I would be pleased to show tourists around in the cities I'm familiar with, so I assume it is the same for many couchsurfers around the world. It's important for me not to live as a tourist but rather as someone who truly lives in this place.
That's why I'm on Couchsurfing.
Interests
I'm very interested in languages and different cultures. I like to discover how each culture lives, eats, works, parties, how it sees the world, etc. On travel, I like the change of scene, the fact that we don't live like at home.
I also like to play and listen to music, go to the movies, watch them at home, get a drink with friends, learning languages, take a walk on the country side...

Music, Movies, and Books
My music and movie taste consists of miscellaneous styles. I like to listen to the Beatles, Woodkid, Muse, Daft Punk, Vivaldi, Otis Redding, Bob Dylan, Hans Zimmer...
As for the movies, I really enjoy Tarantino's and Chris Nolan's movies, as well as Forrest Gump or other Blockbusters like The Lord of The Rings, The Avengers...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2010, I canoed in the Halong Bay in Vietnam at sunset. Not more than 4 canoes, it was all quiet, silent and harmonious. We were surrounded by islets (typical for the Halong Bay) on the deep sea. Quite a memory!
