ABOUT ME

I've travelled a little and have now decided to stay in one city and am happy to open up my home to fellow travellers. I currently live in Cardiff, Wales, although for some reason this websites defaults me to live in Brisbane!
PHILOSOPHY

Why worry?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been to a few events and meet ups, and have had a lot of fun doing so. I hosted a couple of times in Australia, and here in Wales, and want to continue to open my house up to fellow travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since starting traveling I've been to quite a few events, been in a music video, did a bike ride around Melbourne, yoga in the park, the list goes on, and have stayed with one Couchsurfer after a party at her house. I love being a host too as I get to give a little back.

Interests

I love all kinds of music, can't go a day without having some tunes on, it really does put a smile on my face. I love going to see live music, especially new bands I've never heard of. I go to at least one festival every year.
I'd like to think I'm an active person and would love to get better at climbing, and hopefully be good enough to climb outdoors abroad.
I also like walking, yoga, and world cinema.
I love to cycle, but don't do enough! My fold-away hasn't had many outings yet!
Most of all, I enjoy people's company and discovering new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into Bateman's books, but also love authors like Danny Wallace and Dave Gorman, but mostly like autobiographies. I can listen to any kind of music and my taste varies so much, from live bands to funky house. I seem to listen to a album to death then forget about it for months and hammer another album. Used to play the drums when I was younger and wish I'd had room for a kit, maybe I would've carried on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing things I have seen are the people in my life who overcome such difficult situations, and don't complain or want to be made a hero, and have the biggest smiles and most appreciation for life itself.
I'm glad that I faced my fear of heights and cliff-jumped in Fremantle, WA, especially as when I looked down I saw a hell of a lot of jellyfish!! I also went to the Glasshouse Mountains in Australia, and rock climbed and abseiled for the first time in many, many years, which was scary as hell but so glad I did it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak Welsh as my mother tounge and am always happy to teach others, and would love to learn some Spanish myself. I spoke some French through school but would hardly call myself fluent! I've tried out slack lining a couple of times and would like to keep going, and absolutely love watching others in owe! I've dabbled in circus lessons and love being challenged.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I wouldn't call myself a chef but I'm an ok cook!
