ABOUT ME

I'm Matt.

This part is all about me, which I love!
I'm very Australian, but my housemate calls me an 'evolved Aussie'.
I work behind a bar in town, a bar that recieves all my earnings the weekend after I get paid. It's my second home, I love the people I work with and would do anything for any of them.

I can't burp.

My current passion is snowboarding, it was Motorbikes, before that cars, before that BMX, before that skateboarding and before that Cartoons and annoying my Mother.

I moved to Queenstown to start my years of travelling the world and learning about all the different cultures and peoples philosophies.
I've been here since March 09.. I'm stuck in a bubble of beautiful people, beautiful scenery, countless activities and neverending good times.
I'll continue my travelling soon, but for now I can't imagine being anywhere else.

I'm 24 and act either 14 or 34.
I get really hyper sometimes, usually only around people I've known quite a while. It can become a problem when my 2nd 3rd and 15th joke still isn't getting a laugh, so I resort to more drastic matters to get a laugh out of someone, often ending in me hurting or embarrassing myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe you're only ever truely happy if you're making other people happy. Life couldn't be more simple.

Hosting couchsurfers makes me feel loved, haha! Couchsurfers are a unique circle of people who're full of positive vibes, appreciation and open minds.
It's amazing the type of people I'm lucky enough to meet and share stories/experiences with all through one website. I'm a city boy and streetbred so I'm very cautious of who I host, wary of being taken for a ride but so far every single person I've hosted has amazed me. Teaching, learning, growing and evolving - and ofcourse drinking and laughing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Now I'm trying to narrow it down to the MOST amazing thing I've seen or done. It's difficult and a little depressing that I can't remember many of them due to intoxication! hahah!

I've slacklined during a Queenstown summer sunset on the beach with a bunch of beautiful people. That's was amazing at the time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Instead of Lemon and Salt, have a shot of orange juice as a chaser for Tequila.
Someone taught me that in Melbourne and I brought it to Queenstown where it's now the standard for many people. Trust me!
