Overview
About Me
I'm crazy about traveling and getting to know other cultures, habits and people. I'm also crazy about bicycles, so everywhere I go I try to have a bike with me. I've been working with tourism almost my entire life and mainly because that allow s me to travel and to know people from all around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I would love to travel having the opportunity of being in the house of a local person, getting to know info about the places that normally I wouldn't be able to know staying at a hotel. Getting to know the local's perpective of the place is one of the main reasons for me to sign up on Couchsurfing, besides being a more afordable way of traveling when you're backpacker.
Interests
Tourism fascinates me mostly because of the culture of different places and that reflects in the food, politics, sports, music, dance, human interactions and it shows that we can be so different, and still so alike. And it's by knowing and respecting the differences that we can improve as people and society.

Music, Movies, and Books
Hard to talk about favorite music. My setlist goes from Bossa Nova to Parteum, from Indian mantras to AC/DC, from grunge to instrumental music. Regarding books, I have a thing for classics, one of my favorites (and it will always be) is "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", Kundera. But so many others are important to me: Kerouac (On the road), Dostoiévski (Crime and Punishment), Machado de Assis (Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas), Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Memória de minhas putas tristes; Cem anos de Solidão, Crônica de uma morte anunciada), George Orwell (1984), and so many others. Regarding movies, I love documentaries and classics as well, such as: the spotless mind of the eternal sunshine, The seventh seal, Woody Allen's movies in general, Tarantino's, Brazilian movies and many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It might sound crazy, but for a cyclist it's a dream come true. I was able to participate of the Tour the France 100th edition and even rode my bike on champs-élysées. That was something I could never imagine happening.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share life experiences with people and learn with them as well. I love studying languages and normally I would share that knowledge with people, teaching them whether English, French, or Portuguese.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share the household chores and other duties they might have with the house, water and electrical bill.
