Overview
About Me
My goal in life is to help build an alternative to the way things are right now, through mutual aid, permaculture and regenerative practices, good urban planning and architectural design, and the reintegration of old skills and physical knowledge into our lives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to find free places to stay on my travels, of course, but beyond that I really want an exchange with those who host me. Maybe I could do a couple hours of work to help you out, or help you prepare meals, or something to fulfill my desire to live a life of service but also my desire to travel while fairly poor.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all genres of music. Right now I'm very much into rock/metal but I get deep into a new genre every few months. Favorite artists right now (Jan 2023) are Billy Strings, Muse, Evanescence, Rage Against the Machine and Rival Sons. Haven't been watching too many movies lately but I do love and appreciate the art of cinema. I really loved The Expanse, and I enjoyed Game of Thrones while it lasted. Also a fan of the old Doctor Who. Favorite book is 'The Omnivore's Dilemma' by Michael Pollan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Managed to learn about the world despite the US educational system
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn way more ballroom dancing, it's something I really enjoy. I'd like to learn anything having to do with construction or natural building.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My labor, my knowledge, conversation, connections, music, laughter. I have a few years of mild construction experience, years of gardening experience (in the north mainly), can play the drums, swing dance, can tell hundreds of random, funny, crazy, inspiring, or depressing stories from throughout history.
