We love to dance and see shows and never skip an opportunity to dress up! We're looking for a place to launch our wonderful, extravagant and most importantly, affordable foray to Broadway for the second year running! It's beginning to be a tradition.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had experience crashing on friends' futons and couches after a late night of dancing where we'd be too tired to drive all the way home or if we had a few to drink before the night was over. Our favorite part is the socializing that happens in the kitchen. We love cooking and we'd be more than happy to make us all a delicious meal, and maybe we'd even make a lesson out of it!

Interests

Ballroom dancing,;live theater/ballet/opera/musicals; trying as many different forms of alcohol as we can find and afford; not drinking to the point that we're not enjoying it; making amazing food affordably; making healthy food; making healthy food amazing, affordably; laughing until our cheeks and bellies hurt; teaching people new things; Googling EVERYTHING

She LOVES singing and she'll sing out anything you give her the opportunity to. Sing a duet with her and she'll love you forever.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic movies like "His Girl Friday" and the 30-40's musicals are great. We also love well acted movies and sometimes we'll greatly enjoy cheesing it up with a corny kung-fu flick. Or an amazing one, like Ip Man.

We'll listen to classics like The Beatles and Queen as well as classical music and jazz and stuff. We both love weird music; a few artists we can agree on are Tom Waits, Soul Coughing and Morphine, along with a few more well known bands like Cake and Beck. We branch out from there to musical show tunes and she starts listening to Lady Gaga and Barbra Streisand while he'd rather listen to Jazz-swing and some rock. He's still trying to get her to appreciate Pink Floyd.

We. Love. Books. Our future house will have a huge library-study with rolling ladders and everything. We're always open to suggestions and always have a good book to recommend. His favorite book is "John Dies at the End" by David Wong, which she also likes. Hers may be "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas. She stole his copy of "Company" by Max Barry, so she probably likes that, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We went to Broadway last year and saw The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Cyrano de Bergerac together. It was one of the most amazing days ever! We'd love little more than to experience another day like that this season.

Teach, Learn, Share

We're experienced ballroom dancers and love to teach! No matter what your experience level, enthusiasm is the only thing you need to bring.

We could also swap some recipes. Maybe even share an exotic cooking skill or include an ingredient we may have never tried. We're the people who are excited to eat sheep brains, tongues and eyeballs. That happened.
