I am from Germany, but have lived in the US for 40 years, love it here.
We used to own a B&B, retired from that and we travel quite a bit.
I love meeting new people and experience different cultures'. I love cats, and we have a cat in our house. We volunteer in the local animal shelter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have used the ATC and Evergreen travel club, so it was natural for me to sign up for this.

Interests

I love to travel, love cats, hiking and biking. I love going to concerts, especially, the Tucson symphony and the Tucson pops, great shows.
Cooking is one of my favorite things to do, housecleaning is not, but I manage to keep things in shape.

Music, Movies, and Books

Country Western, Classical, and most music, currently I am listening to Percy Sledge. So, I like most music.
I like all movies with Liz Taylor and Sophia Loren.
I like books about history, biographies and some love stories. I am reading "The Orphan Train" at the moment, the kite runner is a very good book, I like most anything that is about life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a trip to Israel without my husband, that is about as amazing as anything I have done. Love Israel.
Also, I talked my husband into driving with me from AZ to AK a few years ago, amazing journey......

I am not good at teaching, too impatient. I like to share travel stories, cat stories and my love for this country..........
