ABOUT ME

Always on the go. Work during the weeks, have a band on the go at all times, and am always out on weekends. Can't sit still for too long - love going to bars for a quiet drink or to get liquored and have a time. Down for just about anything, at any time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On a solo trip through the south-western United States, my car rental was upgraded to a brand new 2014 Ford Mustang. I took it to the Grand Canyon to hike around for 3 days and was extremely excited that my first trip to Vegas would entail me cruising in on the Strip in such fashion. Halfway to Vegas in the early morning, I hit some debris on the highway, completely destroying the back-right tire. After waiting an hour and a half on the side of a desert road for the tow-truck, I learned that the emergency tire would not be safe to drive the remaining 150 miles to the nearest car-rental shop in Las Vegas. So, another 30 minutes passed as the Mustang was loaded on the tow-truck, and I rode shotgun for another 3 hours with the driver and his dog. When I left the Canyon, I was scheduled to arrive at the hostel in Vegas around 12pm, and never got there until 5pm. Not even close to an 'amazing thing' I've done, but still one of my favourite travel memories. If you can't find humor in the bad things, you're going to have a tough go.
