ABOUT ME

Most people would say I'm a genuine, friendly and easy-going person, if a little eccentric at times. I have a good sense of humour (or at least, I like to think so), and have a wide range of interests and skills. My primary focus in life is music; most things in my life revolve around that in one way or another.

Interests

Music and culture. I play music, both as a solo artist and with several bands; I write and record music, again, for myself and for others; I arrange and promote concerts locally; I also do sound for live events as a supplemental income. I am a bit of a film buff, but would never try to out-trivia anyone, or pretend to be an expert on anything. It's just a hobby, and one I'm not very committed to. Travel is another interest - when I have the time and money.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any really good folk, blues, indie or rock music; even country or rap if it's exceptionally good. Any film that's quality, which I realize is subjective; I can do drama, comedy, action, thriller, documentary, even horror if it's really well done. Any genre of book, as long as it's either really well written, or really engaging. Orwell, Steinbeck, Huxley, Thoreau, Twain... Harry Potter was a guilty pleasure... Eats, Shoots, & Leaves is my second Bible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited Copenhagen (Denmark), and toured the city commune of Christiania. What an amazing place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have skills in mostly music and computers. I am proficient with guitar, bass, drums, live sound, studio recording and audio production, and have experience with web and graphic design, HTML and CSS code.
