About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore my life and the world around me.

ABOUT ME

I am someone who loves exploring and creating. I write books as I travel and hope to one day be a published author, likely in the Fantasy field. One of the best things about travelling is the countless interesting people you meet on the road. I try to learn from them much as I learn from my students while teaching. I'm blessed right now to be in the midst of a 42 month long trip.

PHILOSOPHY

Leave each person you interact with feeling better than they were when you met. Big difference or small that's my aim.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have used CS in England before to help facilitate my move to Bradford. I hope in the future to use it a lot more in South america come the fall where I can meet local people and practice my spanish all at once. I'm also hoping to meet some real New Yorker's this spring. Once I'm done my trip and teaching overseas in a new country each year I'll be hoping to become a great host too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a great time couch surfing n Bradford where I not only visited with some amazing people, I also got there amazing help at getting me settled in Bradford. The wonderful house of young people shared conversation, food and most importantly advice. They helped me find a great flat, showed me some of the best restaurants, and gave me lots of invaluable local tips for the area.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A lot to count. I visited a tiny town in costa rica called Montezuma and went up into the jungle discovering waterfalls and pools to swim in along with monkeys, parrots and all kinds of wildlife. It was perhaps the most beautiful place I'd ever seen and I hope to go back one day.

I have spent this summer in spain and italy. In Italy I have lived with Italian families while teaching english at summer camps. I have spent the most time in Sicily which is incredible both for it's welcoming people and natural wonders.

I have been on the road for almost 8 months now since leaving my teaching job from England and have seen incredible things and met incredible people. Exploring Mumbai with locals, sleeping on the concrete floor of a school in Laos with locals and helping to prepare elephants for festival in Sayaboury, Laos, Swimming and climbing around Kravice falls in Bosnia, the list goes on...

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach a positive and hopeful outlook on life, Learn everything I can from everyone I meet, and share my love for the world and all these interesting people in it.

I think one of the most important things to learn is not to be afraid of people. Most of them are incredible and only want to help. This goes for everyone everywhere in the world. Trust is a beautiful thing, and fear seems to be ruining it for a lot of people. CS is an embodiment of trust over fear in my mind.
