About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, explore different cultures, meet new people, study and work towards my career.

ABOUT ME

I love traveling, learning about new cultures, and meeting new people. My religion is human rights. I find joy in simplest things in life. I love the natural beauty of rural and suburban areas as well as the bright lights and busy lifestyle of the city. I am friendly, enthusiastic, helpful, ambitious and determined. I participate in educational/cultural exchange programs, write grants and do projects for improvement of my community. I love music, coffee, city walks, shopping and good laughs.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is relative.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted Peace Corps Volunteers from the United States in my home town in Turkmenistan as well as in Kyrgyzstan where I did my bachelor's degree. I learned about American culture through them, tried food specific to their places and made life-long friendships.

Interests

I like politics, traveling, good food, good drinks, good company.

Books: 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World, The Empire of Angels, the DaVinci Code, Memoirs of a Geisha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent amazing thing I have done is walking and driving on a frozen lake in Minnesota! Coming from a country which hardly ever gets snow, frozen lake is somewhat a miracle to me :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am originally from Turkmenistan, a country which used to be a part of former Soviet Union. It's a unique culture with a very hospitable culture. I have studied in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan for four years, and that country, despite being in the same region is very different and there is a lot I could tell about both. Also, I lived in Texas and Winona, MN where I was an exchange student. Currently I live in Pornichet, France with my fiance. I love being a citizen of the world. I would be happy to share my experiences once we meet. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking traditional meals of my region, souvenirs and small gifts.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan
