About Me

Perpetually traveling with 10¢ in my bank account

My first time in Paris I was chased through the subways by police (I got away, and promise I'm not a criminal)

I’d describe my personality as friendly chaos. I’m passionate about nurturing meaningful connections and exchange.

Because I seem to straddle the line between reckless and bold, I've been stranded in foreign countries without money a couple times... I always seem to find a way through and out.

I'm all over the place and I promise I can tell you stories to fill your heart's content.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first time outside the cocoon of comfort that was Mexico, and Los Anges for me I was met with sarcastically friendly "oh you're so American." In an effort to try and understand what that meant, but also understand the new place I was calling home then (Vietnam) my mind exploded...
This then led me to decide to go back to school and study International Relations always placing an emphasis on the way society and culture inform policy, and communication.

I believe that our identities, our perceived divisions, but also that which binds us exists in the 'space between. '
I am here to explore that space between... whether it be through humor, food, dancing, political and religious debate (always conducted respectfully)... I AM HERE FOR ALL OF IT :)

All about love (Bell Hooks)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise atop My. Katherine in Sinai, the white dessert, the mountains of Sappa...

Also... Once I bargained the price of a rug from 600 EGP to 150EGP. (Not all hero's wear capes)

I have worked as an English Teacher in Vietnam and a Spanish Tutor in the United States. I am more than happy to help anyone learn/practice these two languages...
If ingredients are available I can also share Mexican cuisine.
