About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am a squirrel - I carry the seed of life for generations to delight and excite in simplicity!

ABOUT ME

I've been in Seattle for the last 6 years reconnecting with my family and exploring my passions in music, community, art, and especially FOOD! AND I met the LOVE OF MY LIFE! I had been living and working in China before all of this and through that experience, I discovered the importance of being true to myself and being connected with life everywhere I am no matter how big, small, or seemingly "significant."

We are crafting a successful food and beverage company in Seattle and it's time for us to go on an adventure before it gets so big that we have to stay here for a while. We search for the greatest foods the world has to offer and would like to feature some of them in our products. We love stuff that tastes great, smells awesome, and makes benefits for people's health through being eaten drank or put into our bodies somehow. I've been a healer, an industrialist, a manager, and a worker, and now we are giving back something that represents our sense of passion and love for making a world that lives in harmony and balance with all the other life on the planet.

We are looking to explore farms and animal sanctuaries, jungles and special places where one might find their point of centeredness and be in awe of life in it's most basic sense. We want to know musicians and artists, farmers and travelers, and those who would like to be connected with life and the great things happening on this planet. Simple joys and self-generated extraordinary living is our chosen way of being in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Lead with love.

If you want to feel inspired, set out to inspire others. If you want to feel connected to people, leave you preconceived beliefs behind and bring others inside. If you want to live your life, just let go and be free.

Be brave, be true, be yourself.

We can connect with anyone and being called into action is a great gift of being alive!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Through Couchsurfing we wish to connect with the true local's experience and make friends with people who would like to bring who and what we are into your world while we are here. We are traveling for a couple of months through Africa and India, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, China, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. We want to know the real real of the worlds we visit and we want to make friends with our brothers and sisters in the places we visit.

After three years hosting over 12 couchsurfers in China, and four more years diligently focused on finding my passion and purpose back home, I'm setting off again for new sorts of adventures, this time with my sweet and loving partner Cassie.

There's something so special about living with people who are inside the life in the places around the world that could create an opportunity to be with the authentic experince of living in that place. Anyone can stay in hotels and hostels, and we do too. Our immediate hope is that there might be some Courchsurfing good-will saved up somewhere for us that we can ride on for a trip to experience the earthier side of the world as we travel.

Right now we live in a small apartment in Seattle, but as we have more space and live in a larger house, we look forward to hosting Courchsurfers once again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My adventures as a couch surfer started the first time I traveled in China, though not by way of this site's services. I quickly left my plans behind and took a short job/CS stay with a new friend in Dali as a chef of Western food in partnership with his live-in cooker of local Chinese foods.

If you're looking for a top-notch guest off the traveler's trail, I'm you're guy! I've hosted CS'ers on many occasions, all of which have been unique, fun, and energizing. I now offer myself as that ideal guest, a brother from another mother, a gentle spirit, and encourager of all simple, intuitive, kind creations.

WHY WE LOVE SQUIRRELS:

Squirrels make people laugh! Many people think squirrels are just a critter that steals your food but actually it depends on your perspective! Some say that squirrels make sure the forests stay healthy by scurrying nuts and seeds all over from one place to another ensuring the trees and critters that depend on them have a bright and green future on this great planet we call home! Squirrels are hard working and they live in the moment AND plan ahead for the future! Squirrels move fast and they always have what they need to take HUGE leaps of faith! <3

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a few phrases in Mandarin or make you a great meal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

GREAT energy, picking up after myself, leaving anywhere I go better than I found it, good company, listening to stories and sharing moments of life that bring meaning to the mundane, the occasional miracle, an appreciation for just about anything, and delicious healthy homemade eats!

Will cook awesome food for you.
