My name is Madisyn but most people call me Maddy. Feel free to use whatever you prefer. I'm from the Cheyenne River Sioux reservation in South Dakota so I know some basic Lakota language and also an enrolled Native American. I have 2 dogs, Scooby and Clyde who live with me. I'm the biggest dog lover and I also love other animals as well. I love learning about new cultures and traveling to new places. I'm glad I joined couchsurfing because my experience has been great this far and I'm ready to meet other likeminded people as well. Music is one of my passions as I love listening to new music and learning more about it and learning to play guitar and piano. I like thrilling activities such as roller coasters, skydiving, and just new things involved with heights or thrills. I also love the outdoors, so I like hiking, bicycling, running, swimming, you name it. I have a hobby that I enjoy and that involves collecting and finding rocks and gemstones. I call it rockhunting. I just think the rocks are so pretty and it's a challenge to do. I am traveling to Germany this summer for a study abroad trip, but will be venturing to other places in Europe such as the Netherlands.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people and to learn more about different cultures of the people with whom I encounter. Would like to meet likeminded people as well as learn a lot from my experiences. I think couchsurfing is a great way to explore the world and learn more about people and their lifestyles. I'm so excited for so many more opportunities involved with Couchsurfing. Learning new things is one of my favorite things to do, so I think I can absoultly benefit from the Couchsurfing community. I am ready to learn a lot from other people and would like to teach others about my culture as well. If any of this interests you, I think we could have a great time together.

Interests

I love meeting new people and traveling. I also like to hike and rock hunt. Dogs are by far my favorite animal so if you're not a fan I would suggest that you not stay at my place because I have two fur babies. I definitely like to have a good time which involves partying, exploring, trying new cuisine, or trying thrilling thing, . I'm an adrenaline junky.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all different types of music ranging from rock to oldies, just not hardcore metal. My favorite author by far is Gillian Flynn who wrote Gone Girl, Dark Places, and Sharp Objects. I love old classic books such as Fahrenheit 451 and to Kill a Mockingbird. Game of Thrones are my favorite book and TV series.

I've skydived for the first time this past year in '16. There are probably others, but I just can't think any at the time. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some about traditional Native American dishes to eat and maybe some Lakota language. I would like to learn more about cultures and traditional ways of doing things. I think we could share parts of our cultures with one another.
