Hi hiii hellloooo !!! My name is Maeve (which rhymes with wave) ! I am a travel nurse currently taking on a two month cycling tour through the Balkan Countries and attempting to make it as far around the Mediterranean Sea as I can! Looking to connect with all types of people along the way, as ITS ALL ABOUT THE PEOPLE!

About ME! I am a city girl at heart. I pull all of my energy from chaos and movement and people — a city is my perfect place. I have a deep poetic love for public transportation. I love going to new restaurants and trying new foods and drinks, especially from a local perspective. I love being able to look at the movement and pace of a bustling city and find calm and slowness in it too. The flowing change that exists in a new city mirrors the change and impermanence of life. And with that, I love to see life’s ebb and flow reflected in a city and to explore its deepest nooks and crannies.

In the end... I am a very easy going, open, and down to earth person. It doesn't take much to make me happy or smile!!! I find the greatest beauty and excitement in some of littlest things in life. I am a total science geek and could talk about psychology or the human body for hours. I love talking about philosophy or religion as well because there are often new and challenging perspectives that arise.

Couchsurfing is one of the most incredible things I've stumbled upon. This community of loving and trustworthy people from around the world makes me so happy! I absolutely love meeting strangers and listening to their stories, their thoughts about life, people, different ideas. Lasting friendships can be made through this community. Plus, I learn the best places to eat and explore from the locals! It's so beautiful to see a huge community of good people come together to make traveling possible. For that, I thank you!

When you go out into the woods, and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn't get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don't get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree.

The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying 'You are too this, or I'm too this.' That judgment mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.
