Hello there! My name is Mafalda and I am half-belgian, half-portuguese. I grew up in Belgium, but Lisbon is the city I call home for the last 10 years. I love having different types of conversation and discovering new ways of thinking. This can be over a coffee/beer/hike/stroll in the city - either way I am fine! I am currently in that phase of my life where everything kind of went differently then expected and now I am taking some time to reset and rethink which direction in life I want to take, and... I ended up in Switzerland 😅 What gives me the most energy at the moment is listening to people's experciences and life stories so far. Looking forward to meet you!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Quite a few of my friends have had good experiences, so I thought I would try this different way of discovering new places and creating new friendships around the world. Since I studied tourism, I am well aware of the impacts of overtourism and would like to avoid as much as possible these places. I prefer having a conversation with a local 10x over visiting a touristy monument.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love all types of music, but especially music from the 60, 70 (blues, funk, soul, R&B), reggae, indie and latin music! I like comedies and movies/books that help us reflect about our way of living & communicating.

Allowing myself to live life in the moment and not let myself get pressured about what’s expected of me (or at least I try 😅).
What I Can Share With Hosts
I love cooking, so always ready to help a hand. If you´re interested in languages maybe we can learn from each other. If you want to have a deep conversation about society, I am the one to talk to or just enjoy some music and dance; either way, it´s an evening well spent!
