About Me

I used to be quite afraid. Of myself. Of what might happen to me if I breathed the wrong way or had gas in public or many things.
A wise friend told me I need to sew my wild oats and I finally really took it to heart.
I realize now that is the element in my life that separates who I was in fear and trembling from who I am now. I can do just about anything I set my heart to!
I really want to stand on a surf board

Throw caution to the wind. Follow your heart/desire!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of staying with locals and connecting in person through this media! I also think that this could be a good way to lure college friends and acquaintances who pass by to visit.

I am starting this adventure in August 2018 if the car loan works out! Here is the inside scoop of my bucket list, car camping adventure.

I want to see amazing new places and meet kind and interesting new people in the following areas by the time I turn 37, so by September 2019, I would like to meet you, to visit you! Will you please consider putting me up?

I decided not to bring my mighty dog!

Music, Movies, and Books

I read an astronomy field guide last year that I loved. Around the time of the eclipse.

I like Self Development books by Brene Brown lately. Have read a lot of Mary Oliver, the majority of her poetry. Love the Dali Lama's little Compassion book. Anything poetry. Wabi sabi books.

I like watching random TV like Grey's Anatomy. Or most movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went out in the ocean when I was about 18 and I swam there a long time and then a dolphin mother and cub came up to me, having chosen me to hang out with a while.

Teach, Learn, Share

I write a lot. It is a source of my resilience and I think it is one of the most human things. Make a camp fire and one of the first things people tend to do is this need for journaling. Writing is what I am doing right now, for example.

I am writing a book about Hitchhiking, well a series of short stories. So information sharing about that would be a great plus.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am in good company with children and they trust me and for good reason. I have spent a lot of time babysitting and so forth. So maybe I can teach them a song or how to write haiku if they are the right age.

I also am a decent cook. I make yummy biscuits and inventions of all kinds, like brownie tapioca pudding.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica
