Overview
About Me
A Philadelphian exploring parts west. I drove cross-country with my partner (who's studying Urban Forestry at UBC in Vancouver) in summer of 2017 then did some WWOOFing in the Pacific Northwest before settling into Northern California and farming for a year. Now, we drive back East!
In Philly, I work as a nanny, random other odd jobs that give me the flexibility to do things I really care about: travel, make art, spend time with friends and family, garden, see live music, volunteer at a collectively-run radical bookstore, and do a radio show on a community radio station (https://www.mixcloud.com/recklesscuriosity/), among other things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
to meet other beautiful people actively relying on the kindness of strangers and helping to imagine life beyond the money matrix. it's been a pleasure to host travelers in Philly- so many interesting people have passed through for countless different reasons. I love exchanging stories and ideas, hearing about other places in the word, sharing what I like about my hometown and seeing it through new eyes.
After years of just hosting, I finally couchsurfed last winter in Seattle and Portland. Both experiences were wonderful! It feels so important to make real connections with people in the places I pass through and couchsurfing was the perfect way to do that.
