About Me
Hello all,
My name is Maia and I am a film-maker from Copenhagen, currently working with my films as I am studying at Malmö Art Academy. I like to make films about people who I do not encounter every day, and that's why my method is to move in with people, work and talk with them, before I bring my camera. A lot of good work to do! I just finished a film about a community in Spain, where they are interpreting dreams.
At the moment I am using quite a lot of time on learning German! A fantastic language. Going on exchange in that great country, let's see what will happen!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To share and hear what you are doing around the world. So glad that this community exists.
Interests
My last couchsurfing experience was last Summer, when I went on a hitch hiking adventure with my friend Adam. Me and him live in a house a bit outside of Copenhagen with four other friends. We are hosting a small festival this Summer and in general doing everything we can to create, invite sweet people and eat good food together.
We met Roland in Kassel, who we were gonna Couchsurf with. When we were approaching his house he called us and told us to meet him at an art exhibition. For three days we danced, hiked and enjoyed fully the company of Roland, the greatest guy in Kassel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I especially like experimental and slow films. Varda, Wenders, Mekas, Jarmusch, Lynch. Thank you.
At the moment reading books by a Danish artist and author named Dea Trier Mørch. She portrays women in an honest and most beautiful way.
I love to listen to music with people - recently discovered Liraz, always listening to jazz, happily humming along with Donovan and Buena Vista Social Club and get strength from PJ Harvey and Patti Smith.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitch hiking through Europe and planting and caring for our garden here in Copenhagen.
Countries I’ve Visited
Croatia, England, France, Germany, Greenland, Hungary, Italy, Nepal, Norway, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United States
