About Me
I am a 41 years old single mother who loves to travel and meet people from different countries.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I do couchsurfing because I really love to host visitors from different countries. I like to hang around with people and share stories and experiences. I have travelled myself and met many interesting people. Id love to travel more but at this period in life it is not possible because my son goes to school. So it is very nice if I can have the world come to my home 😊

What I Can Share with Hosts
Room with a bunk bed for two in a shared apartment with me and my son. Advice and help to make the best of your visit in Lapland.
The apartment is small and there is no privacy unless you lock yourself in the toilet 😄 There is just a curtain between rooms. So guests will have to be ok with this.
Unfortunately I am quite busy working so I cannot always give very much company. But I have room for independent travelers and I will socialize as much as I can.
I get quite many requests so I apologize that I cannot reply to all. Please say in your request if you are able to use a sleeping bag or your own sheets on your visit, it might help if I know I dont have to do too much laundry 😊
PLEASE NOTICE! Sometimes this Couchsurfing App doesnt update messages. Due to this there has been some unfortunate situations.
If I accept you as a guest you can trust that it is settled unless I inform a cancellation. But even I am only a private person so take care of these precautions:
Make sure I give you my tel number and address in advance. My life is so hectic and I host a lot of people so it is possible I sometimes dont notice to send information after accepting a request.
In general do not use Couchsurfing without having some extra money or plan B for accommodation/travel plan. Hosting is not same as hostel, it is volunteer and many kind of sudden situations can occure to a host unwillingly and unlike in a hostel there is no-one to do replacement.
In Rovaniemi it is impossible to find last minute accommodation during Christmas even with money to spend and there are no indoor spaces open to spend the night. So be very carefull around that time.
If you find yourself homeless in Rovaniemi you can take the night train to Helsinki if it is not full. And there are night clubs open until 5am. I will help you if I can but I dont watch this app all the time. If you cannot find any place to stay, contact the police. If you are travelling with a child you can contact social services.
People in Lapland are very helpful and it is very safe to be here. You can hitchhike or ask people for help if you need anything. Just use common sense.
And dont miss Santa on your visit 😊
