I'm a university student of Japanese and Korean descent, born and raised in California. Fluent in English and Japanese with proficiency in French, Wolof, and Serer, I have an interest in learning different languages and engrossing myself in cultures different from my own. My interests span over a wide spectrum from the arts and music to environmental sciences. I am currently studying architecture, urban planning, and environmental studies at UCLA.

Couchsurfing offers something beyond a typical vacation experience. Living with a local, sharing knowledge and experiences, seeing the country from a different perspective-- it sounds like an amazing experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2012, I spent eight months living in Senegal, West Africa in the village of Palmarin, learning about international development while immersing myself in the culture and language. It was undeniably one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am looking to practice my language skills in French, and learn others through engaging with other couchsurfers and hosts.

I enjoy cooking and learning about different cuisines from all around the world.

I would love to share my love for music and singing:) Also, for those wanting to practice their English or Japanese skills, I would be more than happy to act as a conversation partner.
