ABOUT ME

51 y/o single white male living in Cleveland Heights, OH. Interests include hiking, biking, going to the ocean and to the mountains, travel of all sorts. I'm just a short, 20 minute car ride from the Lake Erie shoreline and beaches, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I enjoy reading, listening to and playing music, dining out, and above all else, a good cup of coffee!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't recall how I first heard about the CS Project, but it sounds like a novel idea. I think anyone with wanderlust in their heart would appreciate this concept...of traveling on a shoestring, meeting new people who have agreed to open their homes for the night to welcome a guest. I have only hosted once, when living in Baltimore, MD. I've been in Cleveland, OH for two years now, and have a couch as well as a guest room with an inflatable queen-size mattress.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have snorkeled in Key West, taken in the view atop the Empire State Building, ventured to the top of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, dipped my feet into the Mississippi River, walked the streets of Savannah, cruised the Mediterranean on a cruise ship, and have been to small, county fairs throughout the state of Maine. I toured the US with a theater company twice, which was at times frustrating but above all a life-changing experience. In 2016 I spent a week in Geneva, Switzerland and visited Interlochen and Grindelwald. Such a beautiful corner of the globe, the Alps are simply stunning.
