Hey! I’m malachi, I’m an avid backpacker and outdoorsman. I am a down to earth go with the flow type guy. I grew up in a in a small town in Colorado with lots of good mountains to climb and public lands to adventure on. Since I graduated high school I have been trying to travel and explore new places as much as possible. In the summer months I have been working with the forest service doing wild land fire. And snowboarding as much as I can in the winter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy meeting new and exciting people. I recently moved to the area and have been trying to figure out how to stay here long term. I have a job starting may 1st in Fairbanks for the fire season and am trying to find work and and snowboard as much as possible until then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just returned from a backpacking trip in New Zealand where I walked across the entire South Island. The trip took about 40 days and measured around 815 miles. That’s currently the first thing that comes out to mind
