About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Educate People Of the Proper Use Of Technology: To Deliver Not To Destroy!

ABOUT ME

I am a new surfer!!!

My name is Malaya. My name means "Free/ Of Freedom" and it pretty much says a lot about me but at the same time too much that aren't true!

I am quite a reserved person but I laugh quite loud and try my best to cut that part out when I introduce myself especially here where most people do not like noisy surfers!

I am talkative when you get me going but I do not talk loud. My husband and I are a good pair because we are the opposite poles when it comes to reservation/talkativeness!

I am a songwriter/musician and I do modeling to fund my recordings/music career.

I used to be a gondolier who pretends to be Italian and speaks English in a terrible Italian accent! I used to sing Italians songs and row the gondola for passengers for 8-12 hours a day for three years and I resigned last June 15, 2014 to move to the USA and pursue my music and for my husband to be back home and run for the office when he gets to be 35!

I am of mixed ethnicities like most people from my country. I was raised in Subic Bay, the former US Naval base in the Philippines. I am a daughter of Filipino-Hispanic-Chinese parents and I fluently speak 5 languages and it's confusing sometimes when I can't find the word to say in one language, I burrow from Indian! :p

I am good in watersports and I love the water. My Chinese father believes in Feng Shui and believes I contain the element of fire within my body and soul and that I shall stay away from water and from colors of water (black, gray, blue) which happen to be my favorite colors and water, my favorite element! Oh well. whatever.

I hate what make up does to my face but i like what it does when I do photo/video shoots! It's like a miracle!

They say I look like Angelina Jolie but I want to look like Scarlett Johansson. :(

I sing very good in Brazilian Portuguese and French!

I need friends to translate some of my poems into Portuguese and French :( :')

PHILOSOPHY

"Say Nothing and watch 'nothing' happen."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very effective in most things I do. I used to believe that I cannot do everything. Well I still believe that, but if you allot time organizing, scheduling, managing, discipline, constancy, staying power, YES, you can do everything you wish to do. But I discourage trying it all in one day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have 'couch-surfed' a lot before but not through this website but actually in person, going door to door in places like Bali, India, Macau, Beijing, El Nido, Puerto Princesa, Dumaguete and many other places.

I am easy to live with because I am a sensitive yet not overly sensitive kind of person.

I am used to house chores and have lived throughout my childhood doing all kinds of house chores, name it, even butchering a chicken and cleaning the whole house.

I cook good and I buy my own grocery. I share the food I cook with my housemates especially my hosts and my fellow guests.

Last night (9.15.2014) I and my husband were guests in the Queen Antionette Suite in the Skylands Castle/Manor and we helped the only butler stay up till wee hours to prepare a breakfast for 24 guests. We woke up at 7AM and I cooked all the eggs, sausages and served them to guests. they thought I was working there but I looked odd cos I wasn't wearing an attendant kinda suit but my own black long dress and my shades. (I have left eye blindness and I wear shades all the time.)

I am a good housemate! And I can show you that! :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Current: His Excellency by J.Ellis, All Woody Allen Films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Conduct a huge charity concert for victims of one of the strongest typhoons with artists from private casino corporations who are not allowed to perform outside of their company properties.

Go Indie traveling India -All By Myself.

Get all Bored-Not by myself in Bali.

Change one person's life by sleeping with him for 2 months? -I guess.

Making Breakfast for a huge castle last night!!! (9.15.2014) - I still can't get over it!

Teach, Learn, Share

Say Nothing and watch literally 'nothing' happen. Help your boss do their job by letting across your concerns. If you fail and at the end of the day you are frustrated, you have no one else to blame but YOURSELF. Play invisible tennis, and pass the ball to the responsible people's court. Wait for it to return and smash it hard, positively hard until the ball disappears and the problems get solved! -Malaya Redcay

If there's something you don't agree on, or something that crucially matters, -say it! Say it loud, say it clear (that doesn't mean to yell.) Say it and avoid dramatic assumptions, dramatic excuses, dramatic waiting and other sorts'a dramas and other people getting involved like a soap opera. COMMUNICATE! We are humans! You have no idea what nasty domino effect it does when you don't communicate properly, especially in professional settings. You hurt people's businesses.
