We love to have fun, learn new things, enjoy life and meet awesome people from all horizons :)

We have been living in Perth for the past 4 years and we are moving to Darwin where Clem needs to find a job in marketing and Flav will be a student there. We spent a few days there 3 years ago and loved it! We would really like to meet new people - for us it is the best part of moving somewhere : making new friends and learning and sharing new things!

A little bit more about us : We are a couple from France, we have been living in Australia for 6 years! We are living an alternative lifestyle - we have been housesitting full time for the last 4 years (we both love animals!) and we are working online at the moment! (although we will be looking for work in Darwin)

We love having fun, doing escape games, board games (any kind of games!) and travelling!
We used to run our own food truck (serving French food!) for a year and we have written a book together! We also toured Australia in our own campervan :)
We have also started a non for profit association in WA to help a wildlife sanctuary feed its animals.
Being 30 years old (already!) is a bit scary but also very exciting! Always finding the positive side of things! :)

Flav is starting to work as a day trader online and he loves it! He is a scuba diving instructor and he loves kitesurfing, soccer, tennis and in general all kinds of sports! He loves travelling, watching documentaries, movies, learning about new cultures, video games (and flying his drone!). He lived in the US when he was a kid and spent 9 years in Italy and studied Veterinary there.

Clem is working as a freelance copywriter for magazines and websites in France, she loooves food :D
She has graduated in Marketing and Management and she also loves travelling! She is very friendly and sociable and she loves to discover new things! She taught herself graphic design and video editing (to document our travels). She is a half vegetarian (she loves eating vegetarian food but if there is meat, so be it! haha Also if it's hidden it's fine - like in a burger it can't be seen!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to meet new people, hear fun, interesting and crazy stories about travels and share tips about anything and everything!

Clem has done couchsurfing for one month in Bologna, Italy before finding an apartment and she met wonderful people with who she is still friend :) Once she had her own apartment she was able to host people herself (but had to check with roomates which made it a little bit more difficult!)

We couchsurfed a little bit in Asia and Morocco as well and met awesome people.

Interests

We are both very easy going and we love good jokes and original stories!
We love talking about interesting things and discovering new places!
We are very chill and we enjoy having dinner at home with friends and a glass of wine!

Music, Movies, and Books

Flav loves French rap and Clem is more of an electronic music type of person but we also love all kinds of music!
We both love to read and at the moment Clem is in her Personal development books phase haha also reading about entrepreneurship.
Flav is more a science fiction/heroic fantasy type of guy!

Movie wise, Flav loves everything while Clem prefers comedies (especially at night otherwise she gets nightmares haha). We're trying to not watch Netflix too much but here are some of our favourite series :

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We sat on top of an erupting volcano in Vanuatu : such an awesome experience!
We did dive with dozens of sharks in New Caledonia and with a whale in France!
We have taken an 8 seater plane in Vanuatu between remote islands and Flav had to hold the door so it wouldn't open in the middle of the flight!
We did paragliding in France and loved it! Next on the list : skydiving
Flav was a tourist guide in the jungle in Ghana for a month.
Clem shared a meal and some time with indigenous people in Mexico, they didn't even speak spanish but a dialect.
Clem worked for one of the greatest magicians in the world in New Delhi just for a show, some producers found her in a restaurant and offered her the job!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can teach you how to make pasta in the microwave haha :D
We can also cook some (good) French food for you!! (you can judge if it's good after you have tasted haha)
Clem has worked in many different industries (fashion, microfinance, short term accommodation, food and beverage) and she can share her marketing knowledge with you!
We can also share a lot of fun travel stories with you (and many jokes!)

Of course we can help you while we stay at your place - cleaning, walking the pets (especially dogs unless you walk your cat hahah) and anything else you might need just ask!
